Wyggeston Grammar School
Following the death of wool merchant William Wyggeston in 1536, his brother Thomas (a trustee) used some of William’s money to establish a grammar school in Leicester. This later became Wyggeston Grammar School for Boys, known today as Wyggeston and Queen Elizabeth I College.
The school is located in Leicester city, the county town of Leicestershire, in the East Midlands of England.
